In this case, the egg came first. As usual, the activities office had planned a surprise treasure hunt! To collect your fuzzy new companion, you must find a hidden egg on campus. These eggs were hidden in classrooms and in bushes and after collecting one, you had to bring it into the activities office to then “hatch” an egg! Picking from the ginormous plastic eggs to see if you hatched a new duck, or even what size your new friend would be!
As always, these giveaways are free. The activities office graciously plans these out and takes time out of their busy schedules to help plant these treasures for their beloved students. Remember to always give thanks and gratitude towards these amazing people who do so much for our school right under our noses! As April comes to a close, all students should learn to be more supportive of each other, duck or no duck in tow. Friends are meant to be shared and there is never enough kindness in this world, especially on campus. You can always be more supportive towards your peers, and the activities office always deserves more respect. Take your silly ducks with you on your adventures and remember to be kind and compassionate along the way.
