My ship rocks back and forth along the crashing waves,
The storm is nothing to me,
I don’t see it,
I see you the lifeboat.
I admire him,
He won’t know,
We’re too different I’m the light he is the dark,
I don’t believe he sees me.
He distracts me from the seriousness,
He jokes,
I laugh,
He doesn’t know what it means to me.
Things I used to have no interest in,
No interest at all,
Now mean the world because of him,
He doesn’t know.
If he was a star in the sky,
My blanket placed on the grass,
Hours on end just to watch him shine,
He won’t know.
