Before New Year’s Eve many people on social media platforms mainly TikTok there would be many videos trying to find out what the finale is. Trying to collect many hidden eggs The Duffer Brothers claimed to have throughout the previous seasons. Even telling the people to rewatch certain episodes to be better prepared to when the finale was released.
On the platform TikTok, many creators began creating series trying to decipher the finale. They brought up many pictures of scenes that they thought were going too show up during the finale.
But once it was released majority of the fans were left unsatisfied. Many people, including I, thought it did not seem to connect with everything the show was based off on. Many people on the internet thought that someone had found out what the finale was and they had to make up a new one. Too be fair, that wouldn’t be totally surprising if it were true because of how poorly it left the main character.
Many people also brought up the inconsistency in some of the characters or some things that just didn’t make sense. For example, the character Max, she was able to graduate after being in a coma for about 2 years and was still able to graduate on time.
While people complain that the finale wasn’t as well written the critics do suspect it was left as an “open” ending meaning that they could continue the series for who knows how long and be able to pick up from where they left off.
