December is the month of give and take—but more memorably, it’s the time of year when a teenager feels like a kid again, huddled by the tree, waiting for permission to tear into the carefully wrapped boxes underneath. Christmas gifts are more than just objects; they’re a way of showing appreciation, and the best ones make you feel truly seen and loved. This year, the Condors were asked, “What was your favorite Christmas gift?” and the answers were all over the place—in the best way.
Many students went the classic route, with multiple people saying money, because honestly… it never fails. Even if it’s a little impersonal, money is the key to getting what was actually on your list. Who hasn’t rushed to the mall on December 26th, ready to splurge and cash in on those post-Christmas sales? Clothes were also a big hit, with gifts like Uggs, varsity jackets, dream shoes, and even a Brat vinyl for the music lovers.
Some of the most exciting responses came from experience-based gifts, including concert tickets and even a trip to Europe, which might win for the most unforgettable present of all. Other students received more personal or cozy items, like heated blankets, vanity mirrors, and photo printers—gifts that turn everyday moments into something special.Music and hobbies showed up strong, too, with favorites like an electric guitar, books, perfume, Pokémon cards, and cosmetics. And of course, there were a few bold (and funny) answers—shoutout to the person who confidently said “lambo.”
Overall, this poll proved that whether a gift was practical, meaningful, or just plain fun, everyone had something that made their Christmas feel a little brighter.
