With Homecoming just days away, the excitement is at an all-time high for the Cal High Homecoming Court (made up of 5 senior girls and 6 senior boys). This year’s theme, Día de los Muertos, promises a colorful and festive celebration. The court will walk down the Cal High Football Stadium on Thursday during the Homecoming game, leading up to the main event at the Fullerton Airport hangar on Saturday.

Emily Navarro – “Savoring Every Moment”
Flyers, Instagram posts, and big nerves — Emily’s creativity got her to the top 10! Emily didn’t expect to make it to the top 10, but when she did, she was overjoyed, “I’m nervous to see who wins. But like, if I don’t win, I’m still, like, honored that I was able to get princess”. A senior who campaigned with flyers and Instagram posts, Emily admired the creativity of other candidates while putting her own spin on hers. Emily is a very kind individual and is known for her sweet heart. Despite feeling nervous about the outcome, she says being on the court is an honor she’ll treasure.

Daniela Blanco – “The Cheerful Dreamer”
From cheerleading stunts to Homecoming excitement, Daniela has been eagerly anticipating this moment. Daniela is described by her peers as a very outgoing and bubbly person; her smile certainly shines on the field. A cheerleader and senior, she is excited, “I think this will be really fun and cute walking down the field. I’ve always wanted to do that, it just looks so amazing… I want to walk down with my parents, do a cute little pose, and walk down in a pretty dress. I feel like that’s just fun”. For her, Homecoming is about making memories with friends and celebrating the culmination of her senior year.

Jesse Ramirez – “The Spirited Top Five”
Confident and full of energy, Jesse is ready for music, dancing, and an unforgettable Homecoming experience. Jesse balances ASB responsibilities as our very own Senior Class President and Homecoming Court duties with ease. Jesse is looking forward to “Songs that you can dance to,” even using the terms “ghetto and ratchet”. It’s no surprise Jesse is on the court this year with his inviting and comedic presence. Confident and outgoing, he is thrilled to be part of the top five and hopes for a unique celebration filled with music, dancing, and fun.
Riley Rocha – “The Late Bloomer”

Riley’s campaign started as a friend’s idea — now she’s embracing the spotlight and excited to walk down with friends, “I’m excited for the other people that made it too!”. Riley initially hesitated to campaign, but a friend started one for her, and the support from classmates convinced her to embrace the experience, “It happened at like, 10 o’clock at night. She was like how come you didn’t campaign? So she made one for me and the people started reposting it, so I just decided to go along with it”. Riley is best known for her beautiful smile and shining personality. Cheerleading keeps her connected to school spirit, but walking down the field with her friends and sharing the spotlight is what excites her most.

Gerardo Uribe – “The Surprised Senior”
Campaigning without knowing it? Gerardo’s friends pulled off a surprise with flags and social media posts. “It just kind of happened”. Gerardo was completely surprised to find himself on the court. Friends ran a campaign for him behind the scenes, even creating a flag with his photo. “They did everything on their own. It was kind of cool. They told me about it in a group chat afterward”. Though nervous and a little embarrassed by the attention, he is grateful for the support and looks forward to celebrating with his friends.

Jeremy Dayton – “The Scholar-Athlete”
Jeremy knew from the start that he wanted to be on the homecoming court and started his campaign right away. “I just thought that it would be a fun experience and to walk down the field with my mom”. Jeremy is a familiar face as he’s involved on campus in various ways: Senior Class Council, MLB, Scholars Academy, and, of course, the Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team. Jeremy is excited to spend time with his friends after a fun time at last year’s Homecoming, “I’m not like a crazy dancer, but if I’m with my friends, I dance for fun”. He’s very motivated to make his senior year memorable with his own milestones.
Cyril Mella – “The Fun-Loving Friend”

Cyril is all about the experience — walking down the field, dancing with friends, and celebrating Homecoming in style. Cyril is eager to experience the full Homecoming event, from walking down the field to dancing with friends all night. Everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting Cyril speaks very highly about him and the energy he brings to the table. “I actually feel really excited because I’ve never done anything like this.” Campaigning alongside Daniela has been a collaborative effort, but for Cyril, the highlight is simply enjoying the event and celebrating with the student body.
Che Ramirez – “The Creative Visionary”
TikTok-inspired campaigns and a dream of walking down with friends make Che one of this year’s standout court members. Che has dreamed of being on the Homecoming Court since freshman year. He brought about reactive campaigns, including TikTok-inspired videos, which helped him stand out, for example, a dancing video inspired by the Katseye Gap Campaign. Che’s campaign has been all over Instagram. Keeping up with the trends, Che is crossing his fingers, “I really want them to play the song Gnarly”. Having looked forward to this moment for a long time, Che is “really excited, even if I don’t win, it’s an honor just to walk down the field”.
Abbie Padilla – “The Blessed Senior”

With support from friends and a beautiful dress ready, Abbie is excited to shine at Homecoming. Abbie feels blessed to be among the top 10 seniors on the court. “I never thought I’d make it this far. I feel very blessed”. Abbie lights up our campus in so many ways; her position as ASB President, her excellent musicality and skill on our dance team, PG Solstice, and, of course, with her heartwarming vibes. With friends’ support and a beautiful dress ready for the walk down, she is looking forward to a night of celebration, music, and school spirit.
The Walk Down & Homecoming Weekend
With the walk down on Thursday and the main event on Saturday, anticipation is high. From creative campaigns to heartfelt excitement, the Cal High Homecoming Court showcases the personalities, energy, and school spirit of the senior class.
