In school, many people can feel like they don’t have a place where they can be themselves. One of the presidents of the fashion club, Wesley Guzman noticed that. “I’ve thought of creating a club. I haven’t seen anyone do something like this and thought to do something different with my friends,” Wesley stated. “When reinvention the idea of fashion club I wanted to make sure that it was open to everyone and not niche,”
Fashion club, a very expressive, very inclusive, and communicative with its fellow members. With President Wesley Guzman and Vice President Haily Lopez, the fashion club is planning to have a big meeting at the beginning of the month and to have events with many other things to do on the day of events. “Creating a safe space for anyone to express their fashion and creative side is something that makes my members and I happy to see,” Wesley responded.
In very expressive ways, the fashion club was created to demonstrate true abilities, to express feelings and themselves. “Even beyond our years attending here, we are hoping that this club exceeds our expectations,” Wesley stated. The club can help people with being able to comfortably share opinions and have people listen to them. “Be yourself and don’t be scared to share opinions,” Hailey said vibrantly.
Despite being their club, the fashion club is very inclusive. They collaborate with many other clubs. “ Club Rush has brought many people who didn’t know about the fashion club. Hosting events helps with bringing in new people as well,” Wesley replied. “There are so many different people that walk into our club and that’s exactly why this club is so unique!” Creating memories with people who can understand you, can be impactful to someone’s life!
The FashionClubb has its many aspects. It’s an environment where everyone is accepted and not judgemental towards anybody and their own creative opinions. “ Our ambition as a club is to have this club be a staple in the culture of Cal High,” Wesley spoke. The fashion club is a positive place where anyone can be who they want to be. Cal High is surely lucky to have many encouraging students on campus!
