Club Rush 2024

The sun shone brightly as anticipation built around the various clubs participating in the school event. Each organization felt a strong sense of purpose on this significant day, filled with excitement, hope, and joy. For many clubs, this was a valuable opportunity to engage with students who were unaware of the positive impact these groups could have on their lives. 

One such student, sophomore CJ Carrillo, discovered new interests through the event, expressing interest in both the Art and Chess clubs: “I was considering joining the Art club because I genuinely enjoy creating art, and I find the Chess club intriguing as well.” This club rush is creating community and connection among students.

Clubs were selling many items to help with their funding. Business Academy sold iced coffee. “Business Academy was one of my favorite academies to buy from because the coffee was really good,” said senior Sofia Rivera. “I’m a part of 2 clubs so Club Rush is helpful to anyone,”. People in clubs not only benefit financially but also benefit from many new experiences. 

“Students browsing were able to learn more about the opportunities our school offers.” Michelle Vargas said. “This experience was super fun for me. I loved working with my crew and loved seeing how successful that day was. It was super rewarding seeing everyone’s positive feedback on our coffee. It got really busy at some point so it was fun using the quick accounting skills I learned from BA,” 

It brings people all over campus together and can spark certain interests,” Junior Liliana Torres stated.  “Club Rush should be done more often because it gives clubs an equal opportunity to fundraise,” Senior Sophia Rivera spoke.

It’s a great experience. Everyone has so much fun and there is success in the end. The Business Academy this year had an amazing outcome by selling out before the club rush ended and bonding with the other BA members was truly great.” Michelle Vargas added. 2024’s club rush was a great hit!
