This Wednesday night, Cal High’s boys basketball team took on Compton HS. The boys came ready to play, running up a final score of 101-33.
The Condors secured the lead only a few minutes into the first quarter, and never looked back.
Many players contributed to this high scoring game offensively, including senior Victor Mendez who hit five three-pointers. Edgar Beltran, a junior guard, also finished with 15 points—scored mostly off of steals.
The most noteworthy player of the game was Luke Sanchez: The senior captain led the team with a career high 38 points, including 10 three-pointers.
After this extraordinary win, the Condors will prepare to fight for the Del Rio League Championship as they face off against the rivaling La Serna Lancers, this Friday at 7:00pm P.T.
