The Lady Condors won the first set fairly easily. With numerous hits by #4, Xiomara Clara, the girls were off to a strong start in their game.
At the beginning of the second set, the girls trailed Whittier; however, this did not stop them from coming back and winning the set 25-20.
The Condors dominated the third set, with hits by #14 and excellent digs by the libero. Isabella Ramos scored the team’s 24th point with an ace: Crowds of students in the Cal High gymnasium—including football and basketball and baseball players—rose from their seats. The people in the stands held up their index finger, symbolizing one more point needed to end the game. The Lady Condors won the final set 25-15, a complete shutout against Whittier.
Girls Volleyball will have their next home game on Tuesday September 26, 2023 versus the rivaling La Serna Lancers. Come out and support!
