As the clock buzzed signaling that the game was over, everyone in the crowd had shouted with cheer. For the first time in California High School history, the boys’ water polo team became CIF champs. It wasn’t easy to get there either. They worked hard for two to three hours every day of the week. According to one of the senior water polo players, Justin Miller, “during the last ten seconds, everyone was so excited and happy because most of us have been training all our lives and been on the team since freshman year.” This just goes to show how dedicated and determined the boys were during the season and how special it was.
