Hallowe’en, All Hallows eve, allhallowe’en, all different names for the same holiday, Halloween. Currently this year, thanks to COVID, Halloween as well as other holidays have been cancelled by California health officials, but is this the right move? Yes! this is definitely the right move by California. To stop the spread of Covid-19 and to flatten the curve that has been so taxing on our health workers, we should certainly stop the mass gatherings of holidays, and I am not the only one who thinks this is the right course of action.
Alexis Perez a Junior says :
“It should be cancelled so that we don’t risk the lives of other, it is unfair to those who have been stuck in quarantine and not going out at all, their normal life shouldn’t get pushed back more just because some people are selfish and stupid by spreading death and disease just because they have nothing better to do with their time.”
Cristal Lopez a Sophomore says:
“I think it should stay cancelled because of how many germs can spread, but I wouldn’t be totally against having it open, I just think if it was open no one would follow the guide lines since people have a tendency of not listening.”

So should Halloween stay open to the public, as Cristal said even if it was open and it had guide lines, there is no real way of enforcing those guidelines, people will abuse them. So the answer to the question should All Hallows Eve stay open, is a big fat no.
